ESL Teachers and Teacher’s Assistants

PS 682, The Academy of Talented Scholars, anticipates hiring six general education teachers (certified) ranging in grades K-3, and may have special education positions for teachers and teacher's assistants (certified)to fill in either K, 1, or 2. The new school is going into year three, and expanding a grade with each passing year. The school’s goal is to nurture personal talents and instill a passion for lifelong learning, while inspiring all students to become productive and conscientious citizens. The Schoolwide Enrichment Model will enable all children to explore their interests and discover individual areas of expertise. A creative learning environment will foster respect, confidence and critical thinking skills through Inquiry and Project-Based learning. By establishing strong partnerships between parents and the community in order to enhance student learning in a safe and supportive environment, all students will achieve academic, social and emotional success.
