4th Grade English Teacher

Grade 4 English Teacher mainly and also responsible for a Science and American Civilization class (California History).   It is  a unique position, because you move between four classes, teaching only approximately 8-18 students at a time. This allows for the opportunity to build strong relationships with students, while also reaching many.

Looking for a teacher who is knowledgeable about teaching, (Masters or Credential preferred), who can inspire and has a good attitude, and who "draws out" a child's potential.  Looking for one who is diligent, but can also "go with the flow" and adapt to diverse situations.  Someone who values the basics, while also being innovative. Someone who is caring, nurturing, loving, adaptive, flexible, and accommodating to all students.  Someone who  is honest and passionate about teaching, and can work with other colleagues and parents with a positive attitude!  Also seeking an educator who continues to develop professionally, and is excited by learning in general. 

This academic community does value tradition and a classical education, but also values creativity, the arts and progressive ideas.  It is a warm and cultural community, with a wonderful group of cooperative students, supportive families, teachers and administrators.  Many teachers and administrators there for over 15 years.
