Networking with Colleagues

In years past we've offered an "Out-of-Towner's" Reception for participants visiting us from far and away. This informal get-together was intended, in the spirit of like-mindedness and camaraderie, to provide a space for participants outside of the New York City area to come together, meet and mingle, and discuss various topics in literacy instruction. As our institutes have grown, we've admitted more and more applicants from far away, so much so that our little courtyard in the middle of campus could no longer house the number of out-of-town participants. We still, however, recognize the inherent value in finding a space for participants to meet others through the vested interest of outstanding literacy instruction. So, we'd like to offer participants an opprotunity to help us organize these impromptu get-togethers, known, in house, as a "chat and chew".

If you are interested in meeting like-minded colleagues from your town, city, state/country, please write to us at events@readingandwritingproject.com. We'd love to help you organize a meeting during the week of the institute.
