The Project’s Affiliation with Teachers College

Many of the teachers and administrators who are affiliated with the Reading and Writing Project, as well a number of our staff developers, have roots at Teachers College, the nation’s oldest and largest graduate school of education. Some RWP staff now teach courses at TC. Most are staff developers at the TCRWP, which functions as a center at the college. In addition to her role as director of the TCRWP, which is housed at Teachers College, Lucy Calkins is the Robinson Professor in Children's Literature at Teachers College, and co-director of the Literacy Specialist Program. Some TCRWP staff developers are enrolled in the doctoral program in Curriculum and Teaching.
